Good Measure Design · Denver, CO

Designed with purpose.
Built to last.

Custom built-in design for homes that work as hard as you do.

A custom kitchen built-in by Good Measure Design — clean lines, integrated storage, considered detailing.
What I make

Cabinet-based organizational systems and built-ins for kitchens, home offices, closets, laundry rooms, mudrooms, entertainment centers, and dining spaces — serving homeowners and contractors throughout Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, and the surrounding Front Range.

Design that's ready to build.

Most design services stop at inspiration. I take you from concept to a complete set of drawings your contractor can actually work from — with dimensions, material callouts, and the construction knowledge to back it up.

01

Furniture design foundation

My education in Industrial Design, with a focus on furniture, gave me a deep understanding of how objects live in space — proportion, joinery, material behavior, and the relationship between form and function. That foundation shapes every built-in I design.

02

Years in the field

I spent years designing and building custom furniture before transitioning into residential carpentry — working alongside contractors and learning the trade from the inside. I've personally built and installed the types of projects I now design. That experience is in every dimension and every detail.

03

Builder relationships

I'm in the process of building a vetted network of finish carpenters and cabinet installers in the Denver area. When your drawings are ready, I'll personally help connect you with the right builder — or, for select projects, take it on myself.

Looking for a design partner?

I work with finish carpenters, cabinet installers, and general contractors in the Denver area who need professional design documentation for their clients — or who want a trusted designer to refer when a project calls for it.

My drawing packages are built by someone who has worked in the trade. Clean dimensions, realistic material callouts, and details that translate to the field. No chasing down measurements, no interpreting vague sketches.

Drawing packages for your clients

Fully dimensioned orthographic sets, material callouts, and cut lists your crew can work from directly.

Design overflow support

Booked out or outside your usual scope? I can take on the design phase while you focus on the build.

Remote design collaboration

For projects outside the Front Range, I'll work from your measurements and architectural drawings to produce a complete documentation set.

A shared language

I've built and installed the types of projects I design. I understand what you need before you have to ask.

Built from both sides of the trade.

Good Measure Design exists because I've spent my career at the intersection of two worlds that rarely overlap: formal design education and real field experience.

I studied Industrial Design with a focus on furniture — learning how objects are made, how they relate to the body and the room, and how good design balances beauty with function. After school I spent years designing and building custom furniture before transitioning into residential carpentry, working alongside contractors and learning firsthand what it takes to bring a space together from the framing out.

"I've built these projects with my own hands. When I design one for you, that experience is in every dimension, every detail, and every decision."

That path is the foundation of everything I do at Good Measure Design. I've personally built and installed the types of projects I now design — custom closets, kitchen cabinetry, built-in offices, mudroom systems. I know what a builder needs to execute that work well, and I design accordingly.

The result is drawing packages that are precise, buildable, and grounded in how things actually get made.
