My education in Industrial Design, with a focus on furniture, gave me a deep understanding of how objects live in space — proportion, joinery, material behavior, and the relationship between form and function. That foundation shapes every built-in I design.
I spent years designing and building custom furniture before transitioning into residential carpentry — working alongside contractors and learning the trade from the inside. I've personally built and installed the types of projects I now design. That experience is in every dimension and every detail.
I'm in the process of building a vetted network of finish carpenters and cabinet installers in the Denver area. When your drawings are ready, I'll personally help connect you with the right builder — or, for select projects, take it on myself.

Tier 1
Simple conceptual drawings
The starting point. A clean set of 2D drawings to communicate your idea — perfect for small projects, early-stage planning, or clients who already have a builder in mind and just need design direction.
Tier 2
Contractor-ready construction drawings
Full dimensioned drawings with material callouts, finish notes, and hardware specs. Everything your contractor needs to bid accurately and build with confidence.
Tier 3
Complete documentation with renderings
The full design package. Photorealistic 3D renderings to see your space before it's built, plus a cabinet list and cut list that takes the guesswork out of every cabinet, panel, and part.
Working with a contractor outside the Front Range? I'll consider remote design work for builders who can provide accurate measurements and architectural drawings. Get in touch to discuss.

Every project starts with an in-person site visit. I'll measure the space, understand how you use the room, and we'll talk through the cabinet approach — from IKEA-based systems and IKEA frames with custom fronts, to big-box semi-custom lines, to fully custom built furniture. There's a thoughtful design solution at every price point.
Based on the visit, I'll recommend the right tier for your project and send a proposal with a clear scope and timeline.

Good Measure Design exists because I've spent my career at the intersection of two worlds that rarely overlap: formal design education and real field experience.
I studied Industrial Design with a focus on furniture — learning how objects are made, how they relate to the body and the room, and how good design balances beauty with function. After school I spent years designing and building custom furniture before transitioning into residential carpentry, working alongside contractors and learning firsthand what it takes to bring a space together from the framing out.
